the newest of the tomb raider series is tomb raider anniversary. everyone’s favorite fortune solider is back, and according to many, better than ever.

anniversary is a remake of the original but new add-ons have been confirmed. the graphics, of course, have taken a phenomenal leap but so have the newest features. new gadgets and terasures, as well as traps and enemies, have all been reported as being in the newest installment.

david gresham, co-producer of the new prince caspian [the next in the chronicles of narnia series] has reported news on future plans. while caspian is coming along swimmingly in the emerald hills of new zealand, plans for the voyage of the dawn treader are already surfacing. it has been confirmed that they are hoping to have voyage out only twelve months after caspian.

rumor has started that microsoft and gamestop [owner of game store franchises such as eb games and babbages] are in talks to have a special trade in deal for the xbox 360 elite.

the deal would allow customers to trade in their old core and premium editions of the system and get extra credit for the new ones. as of yet, nothing has been confirmed.

if you don’t know already, there are a slew of trailers for fake movies that will be inbetween and before the two feature flicks of grindhouse. while machete has been announced as one (starring the battle-scarred danny trejo), the newest faux trailer has been announced as eli roth’s thanksgiving!

the trailer, according to roth, got more uproar from the censorboard than any other scene in the movie. roth said, ““honestly, when I shot that trailer i really thought there was no problem with anything…a girl, full frontal, shot to camera, landing on a knife… seemed like no problem to me! its an exploitation movie, it’s my job to exploit! if i don’t exploit this girl i have failed as a grindhouse director! these guys are expecting a lot from me!”

the end of the gears of war 2007 global xbox live tournament entry peiod was yesterday. being sponsored by world cyber game, the game will be now viewed over by top scoring single player scores on leaderboards. the top eleven in the world get a free trip for two to prague. scores will continued to be tallied over until april 9.

the new may 07 official xbox magazine is offering a first look at the new project gotham racing 4, the next in the pgr series. while still not much is known about the title, new gameplay features have been announced. they are as follows:

>enhanced weather simulation
>enhanced raceway enviroments
>extended car selection
>new co-op system

the graphics look amazing, so let’s hope the gameplay turns out like the screenshots. stunning.

the last [?] in the trilogy of the new ocean’s series has finally released the trailer online for all to see. ocean’s thirteen, with the returning all-star cast of george clooney, brad pitt, matt damon, andy garcia, dan cheadle and a few friends as well, is due to hit theatres june 8.

david hayter has been confirmed for the voice of snake in the newest metal gear solid, set to make it’s debut on the ps3 later this year. unfortunately, the konami spy hero may not be making a return after his mustached premiere.

while rumors have spread of snake dying [these thoughts drawn from the trailer], it seems that a recent interview with hayter may only lead towards confirming this gossip. “as bad as it gets for big boss, solid snake gets really screwed over,” he said.
