after a long hiatus, i am back to the blog. i went on vacation and even spent a week playing pokemon diamond. let’s commence with the posts.

new screenshots for the upcoming hit halo 3 have been made public. the game is said to release on november 2 but loose talks have suggested an early september release date. check here for the new screenshots.

pictures from the iron man film have finally been revealed. the film, starring such big names as robert downey jr., gwenyth paltrow, and jeff bridges is slated to have a summer release date for next year. it is being headed by comic-fan jon favreau.

the new virtual console titles for the wii is america have been released today. check the list out, it’s a cute little thing.

NiGHTs: journey of dreams has been announced by sega to be the sequel to the popular saturn game, coming to the wii. the game will have you travelling as nights the jester, gliding through nightopia, fighting off nightmares and flying through beautiful landscapes.

“we plan to deliver a gameplay experience never before seen on the wii with NiGHTs: journey of dreams,” said scott a. steinberg, vice president of marketing, sega of america. “the game takes full advantage of the unique wii Remote controller enabling gamers to guide nights through spectacularly designed dream worlds intertwined with a story about hope and courage.”

a two player mode has been confirmed. so has my nerdgasm.

nippon ichi software is bringing another rpg to the ps2. the same people that brought us disgaea is now scheduled to bring soul nomad to the role-playing gamefront.

using the same grid-system that’s used in disgaea, the hero of soul nomad is on a quest to destroy three demons that haunt the earth. there are over 25 classes available and the ability to have new characters stats match current characters. be soon to check out soul nomad in summer of this year.

news on the live-action speed racer has been announced from the wachowski brothers. larry and andy wachowski, the famous heads of projects such as the matrix and v for vendetta, are the main men on the speed racer project and have casting news.

john goodman [roseanne, coyote ugly] and susan sarandon [thelma and louise, stepmom] have been cast as pops and mom, the father and mother of speed and leaders of the mach 5 race team.

emile hirsch [girl next door, alpha dog] has alredy been slated to play speed racer himself and the rest of the cast is unknown. the films current release date is summer of 2008. go speed racer go!

harmonix, accompanied with mtv and ea games, reportedly have a new game in the works. the famous creators of guitar hero and guitar hero ii are said to have rock band as the next project.

the game would include four different controllers, including mic, lead guitar, bass and drums. it is slated to be out sometime near christmas of this year for the ps3 and xbox 360.
